Incidentally, my email campaign has worked and I am now, officially, the head designer on Evil Dead: The Musical. I meet with the director and pick up a script tomorrow. There is going to be A LOT OF OVERLAP between Set, FX, Props, Wardrobe, Make Up, etc. so I've proposed that I operate as a production... Read More designer, much as I would on a film project, which means that I would oversee all physical and visual aspects of the production as well as supervise all of the design departments. Having one person coordinating it all means that all of the various departments can be in synch and work more efficiently. If I can prove that the production design model works as well in the theater as it does in film than it will be worth it.
